Translator's Corner. Перевести на английский 8 предложений и коротких диалогов о новой квартире: как она выглядит и на каком этаже, есть ли плита и ковёр, сколько комнат, нет телевизора, наш дом, ванная рядом со спальней, зеркало над раковиной.
Решение
«Есть / нет» и «сколько» — через there is / there are (вопрос — Is there / Are there, How many … are there), этаж — on the … floor, «давай» — Let's.
1 What's your new flat like? What floor is it on? 2 Is there a cooker (in the flat)? — Yes, there is. 3 How many rooms are there in the flat? — Two. 4 Look! There isn't a TV in the bedroom. (There's no TV in the bedroom.) 5 His flat is on the third floor. — Great! 6 Is there a carpet in the new living room? — Yes, on the floor. 7 This is our beautiful house. Let's go in! 8 There's a bathroom next to the bedroom. There's a small mirror above the washbasin (над раковиной; можно over the sink).

Русское «есть / нет / сколько» о предметах в комнате переводится оборотом there is / there are.
