Translator's Corner. Перевести на английский два рассказа: 1) об Ольге, её внешности, характере, умениях и двух сёстрах; 2) о большой семье — маме, папе, брате Диме, бабушке и дедушке.
Решение
Возраст — be + число; внешность — be + прилагательные (tall, slim, pretty) и have got (She has got big dark eyes); умения — can; увлечения — likes + -ing. Порядок прилагательных: размер, потом цвет — big dark eyes, long fair hair.
1 Olga is ten. She is a tall, slim and pretty girl. She has got big dark eyes and long fair hair. Olga is kind and friendly. She is very clever. She can play the piano and write poems. She has got two sisters. Lena is thirteen. She speaks two languages: English and French. Masha is eight. The youngest sister is noisy and funny. She sings and dances.
2 We have got a big family. My mum is a teacher. She is thirty-five. She is tall, dark-haired and very pretty. Mum is kind and clever. She can cook very well. Dad is forty. He is tall and slim. Dad can play the guitar and the piano. He is a wonderful friend. My brother is fifteen. He is big and strong. His name is Dima. He likes drawing and playing computer games. My grandma is sixty-five and my grandad is seventy. They are very nice.
